Welcome to your weekly guide to family-friendly events across Middle Tennessee!


This month, our family is so in love with our new baby girl that we've decided to make February all about LOVE! Throughout the month, we'll be sharing lovely events for Valentine's Day, scripture highlighting God's love, great date ideas for your special love, and a complete guide to all things Valentine's coming later this week. It feels like the perfect way to celebrate this season of new life and abundant blessings in our home.

This week is packed with love, creativity, and memory-making opportunities - from Galentine's parties and daddy-daughter dances to creative workshops and family celebrations.

Friday, February 6 | 5:00-7:00pm Celebrate 20 years of Imagination Library of Coffee County with this "Decades of Dolly" Valentine's-themed celebration! Featuring fancy Southern-style dinner, bounce houses, craft zones, "Best Dressed Dolly" contest, and fantastic entertainment.

  • Cost: Adults $25, Teens (11-17) $20, Kids (5-10) $10, Under 5 FREE

❤️ Daddy & Daughter Dance

Saturday, February 7 | 5:00-7:00pm Make magical Valentine's memories at this special daddy-daughter dance!

  • Location: Lynchburg Elementary School, 276 Mechanic St N, Lynchburg

  • Cost: $25 per couple, $5 each additional child (includes punch, cookies, and picture)


🔬 Preschool Days: Snowflakes & Symmetry

Tuesday, February 3 | 10:00am-12:30pm RESCHEDULED FROM LAST WEEK! Little scientists ages 3-5 explore how snowflakes form and create symmetrical designs through hands-on STEM activities.

  • Location: Hands-On Science Center, 101 Mitchell Blvd, Tullahoma

  • Cost: $7/child, Members $2/child

  • Ages: 3-5 (all ages welcome)

  • Registration: Zeffy

🔬 Preschool Days: Snowflakes & Symmetry

  • Time: 10:00am-12:30pm

  • Location: Hands-On Science Center, 101 Mitchell Blvd, Tullahoma

  • Cost: $7/child, Members $2/child

  • Ages: 3-5 (all ages welcome)

  • Description: Explore how snowflakes form, discover patterns in nature, and create symmetrical designs through hands-on activities. Space is limited!

  • Registration: Zeffy


WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 4

🎨 Self Portrait Drawings Classes

  • Time: 3:30-4:30pm (Every Wednesday)

  • Location: Abraham Art Gallery, 106 N High St, Winchester

  • Cost: $35 per class (monthly commitment includes 4 classes)

  • Description: Work with award-winning artist and curator Kristy Abraham to create finished artwork. Learn unique techniques including drawing, painting, textiles, color theory, art history, and more! Kristy brings 22+ years of experience as a professional artist and K-12 teacher with work in the Parthenon Museum, Tennessee State Museum, and Taube Museum of Art.

  • Note: Limited to 12 students. Include child's name, age, phone number, and email when registering.


THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 5

🏗️ LEGO Club

  • Time: 1:00-2:00pm AND 3:30-4:30pm

  • Location: Coffee County Lannom Memorial Public Library, 312 N Collins St, Tullahoma

  • Cost: FREE

  • Ages: All ages

  • Description: Two sessions available! Follow the prompt or let your imagination lead the way to create amazing designs with colorful Legos. All skill levels welcome. Also meets February 19th.


FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 6

🎬 Movie and Play

  • Time: 10:00-11:00am

  • Location: Shelbyville-Bedford County Public Library, 220 S Jefferson St, Shelbyville

  • Cost: FREE

  • Description: Watch as a young girl, her pet chameleon, a charming thief, and a stubborn horse travel across the kingdom to find floating lanterns. The movie plays in the Children's Room - kids are welcome to play with toys, color, look at books, or move around during the cartoons.


❤️ Galentine's Party at 26th Ave

  • Time: 5:00-8:00pm

  • Location: 26th Ave, 111 W Main St, Manchester

  • Cost: FREE to attend

  • Description: Ladies, don't miss this fun night! Shop with ECK Jewelry Design, Iron & Vine Florals, and Carla Trail. Celebrate friendship and find unique Valentine's gifts!


❤️ Dream with Dolly Gala

  • Time: 5:00-7:00pm

  • Location: First Baptist Church Manchester, 1006 Hillsboro Blvd, Manchester

  • Cost: Adults $25, Teens (11-17) $20, Kids (5-10) $10, Under 5 FREE

  • Description: Valentine's-themed family night celebrating 20 years of Imagination Library! Fancy Southern-style Dolly-themed dinner, bounce houses, craft zones, "Best Dressed Dolly" contest (all ages), and fantastic entertainment. Every ticket helps mail free books to children in Coffee County.

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 7

📚 Take Your Child to the Library Day!

  • Time: 9:00am-12:00pm

  • Location: Franklin County Public Library, 105 S Porter St, Winchester

  • Cost: FREE

  • Description: Today is the perfect day to spark a love for reading! Bring your little ones to explore new worlds, magical stories, fun activities, and the endless wonders of the library.


❤️ Valentine Floral Bouquet Painting

  • Time: 10:00am-12:00pm

  • Location: The Fly Arts Center, 204 S Main St, Shelbyville

  • Cost: $30

  • Instructor: Kristy Gibson

  • Description: Learn to control the unique properties of gouache and create expressive, vivid artwork. Emphasis on foundation painting techniques, color mixing, composition, and building confidence with the medium.


❤️ Mister and Miss Sweetheart Pageant

  • Time: 11:00am-5:00pm

  • Location: Shelbyville Central High School, 401 Eagle Blvd, Shelbyville

  • Cost: Varies by age division

  • Ages: All ages! Categories from 0-2 years through 50+

  • Description: 5th Annual Miss Sweetheart Pageant hosted by The Bedford County Fairest of the Fair Committee. This is a fun pageant for all ages with categories including Mister Sweetheart (0-2, 3-6), Precious Miss, Baby Miss, Toddler Miss, Tiny Miss, Petite Miss, Little Miss, Junior Miss, Young Miss, Teen Miss, Miss, Modern Miss, and Elegant Miss. Side awards for Best Hair, Best Eyes, Best Smile, Best Dress, Best Personality, Best Outfit. Supreme Titles for overall highest scores. People's Choice Winners too! Schedule announced later.

🧵 Community Craft Yard Sale

  • Time: 12:00-1:00pm

  • Location: 404 W Lincoln St, Tullahoma

  • Cost: FREE (no charge for sellers or buyers)

  • Description: A community sales event where individuals can sell their unused crafting tools - fabric, yarns, design kits, tools, and so much more! This event encourages creativity and collaboration among local creatives. Interested in selling? Just show up! First come, first serve for table space.


❤️ Kids Craft Class - Valentine Wind Chimes

  • Time: 1:00-3:00pm

  • Location: The Sparrow's Nest, 25 Main St E, Wartrace

  • Cost: $12 per child

  • Ages: 6 and up

  • Description: Kids are invited to paint Valentine-themed wooden wind chimes! All supplies are provided for this fun, hands-on craft where kids can create, decorate, and take home a charming Valentine keepsake. Seats limited - register today!


🎤 Third Annual Children Auctioneer Contest

  • Time: 1:00-2:00pm

  • Location: Lewisburg Livestock Market, 1930 Finley Beech Rd, Lewisburg

  • Cost: FREE

  • Ages: 13 and under

  • Description: Lewisburg Livestock Market Third Anniversary celebration! Kids auction LIVE in front of a crowd on the auction block with REAL bids! Each contestant auctions two rounds of cages and small livestock. Jackson will be on the block to help if needed. Prizes include trophies for 1st and 2nd place, medals and certificates for all participants, and a surprise gift for the auctioneer who brings the highest bid. Drawings for attendees too!

🥾 Old Stone Fort Enclosure Hike

  • Time: 1:00-2:00pm

  • Location: Old Stone Fort State Park, 732 Stone Fort Dr, Manchester

  • Description: Join Naturalist Shawn for a hike around the Enclosure Trail and discover what Old Stone Fort has to offer.
